Thank you so much!! I will keep them for my husband to use with the baby once we start feeding him with a bottle. Knowing my husband he will not want to wash any bottles so I will use them for him. I have already bought 4 of the Born Free 9 oz Bottles, but thought I might try the Green to Grow. I am not sure if my son will need the vent system. I had a huge Dr. Browns gift set but after reading all this, I took them back. I want to start bottle feeding one time a day soon because at the end of August I will be returning to work to teach. Is Green to Grow coming out with a vent system for their bottles? I thought you mentioned that in an earlier thread...

The sunscreen guide is a great find. I thought that it was cut and dry when choosing a sunscreen, but it is more complicated than I thought. I even saw a report on 20/20 last night about what to look for in a sunscreen.

I thought I posted a comment the other day, but I don't see it or a reply, so I'll post again!

I'm prepping to start solids and wanted to order the cubes (among a few other things), but you're out of stock and it doesn't look like I can place a backorder. Do you know when you'll be getting them in?

Hi Seal,

ZRecs.com put together a fantastic list of the main baby formula containers available. You can find it <a href="http://zrecs.blogspot.com/2008/05/z-report-on-bpa-infant-formulas.html" rel="nofollow">here</a>.

But with enough poking and prodding from various blogs lately, I finally checked. We have been using No-Ad’s Baby version at 45 SPF. I ran the name through the SkinDeep database and found it rates quite poorly at a 4. That’s nothing compared to my mom’s sunscreen, Coppertone’s Water Babies, which got a 7! Here is a list of SkinDeep’s baby sunscreens, sorted by safest.
Hi Kristin,

It is overwhelming isn't it? In our opinion, if the liquid isn't touching the polycarbonate plastic and your baby isn't chewing on the outside of the bottle, we don't see any reason for concern.

You should be just fine using them :)

I am so overwhelmed!!! I have Playtex Designer Series Bottles and Drop-In liners. I know the liners are BPA free, but the bottles are not. Is this dangerous? Because the liquid is not coming in contact with the actual Bottle? Does anyone know? I haven't even opened them yet but they were a gift from target (of course no receipt was given) so I cannot return them. Please let me know!!

I am so happy that I found this site. I bought avent bottles when my twins were born, but the nipples ran too fast for them and I ended up replacing the nipple with gerber nuk nipples. Then when I heard about BPA, I threw away all the avent bottles and replaced them with Gerber's gentle flow bottles but I kept the rings and nipples I'd been using all along and just screwed them right on top. I was looking for nuby's wide mouth bottle with handles when I found this site because nuk nipples are the only ones my twins will take and I heard they fit in nuby bottles. I can't believe it didn't occur to me that I could put my avent rings with nuk nipples in them on BPA free avent sippy cups. I feel so stupid because I have 2 avent sippys sitting in the cabinet. Now I dont' even have to bother finding the nubys because the cups have handles and that's one of the reasons I was looking for the nubys.

The replies are so helpful. I am 5 months pregnant with my 2nd baby , and I plan to use my Avent breastpump. I have the VIA , tempo and sippy cups , so I will just use them when I pump milk, and transfer it to the BPA-free bottle that i will buy soon. I am still undecided which bottle to buy , so I am reading reviews too. Thanks once again for the very helpful info.
